For our last stop on our two month Southeast Asia backpacking trip, we stop in Bangkok. The highlight for me of this stop was our Thai cooking class that we took. We learned how to cook authentic panang curry, papaya salad, pad thai, and caramelized bananas. I'd definitely do this again next time I'm in Bangkok.

For our last stop in Southern Thailand, Nico and I head to Phuket, a popular destination for backpackers (and, surprisingly, families?). We weren't too impressed with the island but did find a few great options for food and ice cream.

Koh Phi Phi

Koh Phi Phi is a Thai island commonly visited by day trippers from Krabi or Phuket. We found the best way to enjoy this paradise, however, by staying on Phi Phi Don in our own jungle hut. Nothing compared to exploring the island after the crowds left at the end of the day.

Krabi

Located on the southern peninsula of Thailand, Krabi is a tropical paradise. During our visit, Nico and I explore the Railay Peninsula (and briefly get stranded there), walk the Monkey Trail, and hike Ngorn Nak Mountain (where I, sadly, part ways with my beloved drone).

Koh Tao

Nico and I meet up with Kristen and Josh again in Koh Tao, Thailand. We decided to splurge a little bit and stay in a nice resort with an infinity pool. We also go snorkeling and swim with a sea turtle.

Chiang Rai

After a long bus ride, we finally arrive in Chiang Rai, one of Thailand's prettiest northern cities and the third stop on our backpacking trip through Asia. Here we stay at an adorable boutique hostel, eat some of the best Thai food, and visit the White Temple.
